***** An excellent list of useful portable apps (i.e., those you can put on your USB flash drive and take with you everywhere). I would add www.knoppix.com, www.ubuntu.com and a few other apps that allow you to use LINUX without adding it to your hard drive. You will find THOUSANDS of free apps there. *****

This list has some serious "MUST HAVES" on it, and well worth the read. It wouldn't hurt to grab them all, and then widdle the list down to what you don't' need. Nice post.

USB flash drives are a sore point at the moment a TSA bloke pinched one I think at LA so I had to buy another when I got home...these applications...Revo and team viewer are great applications...get those first if you are a serious computer user...a 16 Gig USB flash drive suits me

Signs of the times. I have a 32 gig USB drive and the apps I carry on it are a part of my daily life now. It makes my work much easier.
