I really like this guy :) One of the few atheist apologists I actually might like to go for a drink with. I don't understand all of this (why does he say Christians can only pay off their debt to Jesus by dying? Did I mishear that?), but for the most part it's all good stuff - and lots... more

I don't understand all of this (why does he say Christians can only pay off their debt to Jesus by dying? Did I mishear that?), but for the most part it's all good stuff - and lots of Christians would agree with his criticisms of the angry. And Clady, this is blatantly about religion, so the religion tag is justified - if you don't like it, don't listen!

I agree with the main message, that we should not tell atheists that they are going to burn in Hell, but the evidence he uses to back up his argument is very incorrect. Such as, Jesus stated that he has already "paid our debts," as this man would say. I guess, in a sense, Jesus is a road. You can choose the path of perfection, which is completely impossible to navigate, or you can choose the path of Jesus, which is a straight road that can easily bring you to your destination. Another example would be when the video states that the Bible is "doctored and edited and translated through a hedge backward so many times that the truth no longer bears any resemblance to itself," he is very misinformed. By the way, if Atheism isn't a religion, then why do half of their articles appear on the "Christian" and "Religion" topics? I sure didn't choose to flag Christianity and Religion so I could hear some guy ramble unsupported insults at me.

Oh well. I agree on his points that christian should be more christian (turn the other cheek, love thy enemy). However, he also goes on about how Jesus preached to many people and performed miracles, and says that it didn't even have an impact. Hello, it still has an impact 2000 years later, doesn't that say something? Peace to everyone, especially to atheists, becuase yes, we should love our so called 'enemies'.

He's good and all, but really, I wish I'd see more in religion debates than Christian theology stereotypes.

I like his presentation, Normally I'd be sick of the old atheist vs. christian thing, but he was a good watch.
