Spot on. "Mass adding" is inefficient. Does it work? yes. but so does SPAM. This post is right marketers will serve themselves and their communities by focussing on quality rather than quantity.

Very sensible advice on acquiring Twitter followers. Bottom line: you want followers who are engaged.
