GeorgieSays rated 8 months ago- I came upon his book, Blankets, quite by accident... and while the story isn't perfect by any means, the artwork was gorgeous. This site is definitely lovely and whimsical all at once.

fakeblonde rated 14 months ago- I discovered him by his artwork for Menomena's Friend and Foe. He is currently at work on a new graphic novel, Habibi, to be published by Pantheon Books, a division of Random House. The book is said to be influenced by Arabic calligraphy and Islamic mythology: "I'm playing with Islam in the same way I was playing with Christianity in Blankets," as he said in a 2005 interview. (By Wikipedia) It seems interesting, even though I still couldn't read The Blankets...

ljthomas rated 17 months ago- My son gave me a copy of Goodbye, Chunky Rice to read. Wonderful graphic novel. I wish I could hand it on to you. Craig Thompson's piquant sensibilities will alter yours. And can he draw. p.s. Blankets is my next read- first love is the theme.

pumpernickel rated 28 months ago- Craig Thompson's graphic novel "Blankets." Beautifully drawn and presented. Craig Thompson grew up in Wisconsin and with much the same background as myself making this story all the more real and moving.

burkinaboy rated 29 months ago- Official web site for Craig Thompson, the artist/writer behind "Goodbye, Chunky Rice" (which I haven't read yet) and the fantastic, moving "Blankets (which I just finished). I highly recommend you pick up his books.
