dumolebrad rated 11 months ago- Dr Greylan Hagler's content and delivery sets the bed for dance music by DJ Paul Edge and motion typography by TOL23 Design. Evidence of the creative synergy within peace and justice activism.

VikingTed rated 13 months ago- I agree with the message. All except for the part in which he seems to imply that those who do not have faith do not have morals, do not know justice, and cannot accomplish anything. You can be an atheist and still know and love these things, you just don't base all of your actions off of those in the bible, and you refuse to live someone else's life and to be subservient to anything, much less an invisible superhero. Even so, these videos are beautiful.

mcbill rated 13 months ago- Okay... been a while... bear with me :) Not the point of the 2 vids, but... I am struck by how other demographics view Americans or vice versa.. "Oh those damn _____s are always ______(Fill in with whatever bitch you have.)" Americans do this too... everybody does this. But... It's NOT any particular nationality or ethnic group behind 99% of the bad news we are bombarded with. It's their governments. Russians/Iraqis/Whoeverthehell are not bad people.. it's their political system and or the militaristic groups that are allowed to push them around. You may not agree right off the bat, but...an example. Are we a greedy country?? Let's be honest here... Yes. Are all Americans greedy people... No. Granted.. in America's case and lots of other countries, we elected our leaders into power, so there is some culpability there, but there's a fine line between justice and popularity. The first week they do something unpopular, you can't just boot them out. But when they are just greedy out of touch head-in-the-sand idiots, and it's costing people their lives every day... the more pro-active among us are first to set off the bells and whistles. Maybe they're right. But in this country right has nothing to do with viability. Being mainstream and either blissfully apathetic or supportive of our policies "right or wrong" is. When you speak out about injustice and immorality of said policies... you're labeled a looney... part of the fringe element. And I'm sure Rev. Graylan Hagler is considered to be a member of the lunatic fringe in good standing. And all he is saying is... we want peace. Not only here, but everywhere. I do not agree with everything he says. I do not espouse his faith. But I agree with the non-violent activism he promulgates. I see the intensity and many of the values Martin Luther King Jr. embodied. I agree with his assessment that the things done in honor of King's memory are so watered down as to be ludicrous. And I agree that if injustice is allowed and ignored as if it weren't there.. it's the same as promoting it. I like the fact that so many of these peace mongering groups can get together for conferences... different ethinc groups, genders, nationalities, religions, agnostics, communists, many different political persuasions... and get along on this issue, even though they each have their own agendas. If only our world's governments could do so. So he and his group are fringe. But they've done something few do. Drawn a line in the sand. King did the same. Will it make a difference? Probably not. But at least they're vocal and non-violent. Maybe when enough of these groups raise their voices.. someone will hear. Who knows... stranger things have happened. However you feel about it, there is passion here. If only this passion for peace was the current cause celebre... The vids are powerful and especially the second, highly stylized and edited to make an impact on the senses. They do. And they are both on YouTube, but are much clearer on this home site. Both about 5 mins. long. Originally found on ravenbluebird's pages, so much love to her for blogging this or I'd have never seen it... http://ravenbluebird.stumbleupon.com/
