- I cannot describe how useful this website is. There's an awful lot of people out there these days who seem to think the reason why there photos aren't very good is because they haven't spent enough money on equipment. So they go out and spend hundreds of quid on stuff they don't really know how to use. This website will show you everything you need to know, on the cheap. You'll become a better photographer and save money. Perfect!

A really nice photography resource of DIY projects. Regularly updated.

mtvoid rated 13 months ago- Great source of ideas for making your own gear. Gets away from that whole snobby photo-chic thing: "My lens is bigger than your lens ... " or "My gear was handcrafted by wizened gnomes somewhere in the Alps." I wouldn't snub a donation of chic photogear though. Do be careful if you get the urge to hack a flash. Photocapacitors, even small ones, pack a lethal wallop and retain a charge for a surprisingly long time. After a close call I abandoned my ethics entirely and purchased(!!!) some 25W power resistors. Now I should be able to discharge them safely.
