    Oh, deviantART. The cynical side of me thinks it's been slowly disintegrating into a Myspace-esque caricature of its former self. The optimistic side of me realizes that if the entire website is frequented by artists and writers--creatively-minded, unique people--they will never let that happen. It's definitely done wonders for my art though. It gives you the motivation you need to keep working at it--through dA, you gain an audience, something the real world doesn't really offer until university (or so I hope). Without this website, I probably would have just given up, seeing as 99% of the kids at my school don't give a shit about art... tldr; dA saved my favourite pasttime. Thank you.
