gregux discovered 23 months ago- A food blog of an American in Japan getting acquainted with the local cuisine. Rather than approaching the subject from how Japanese food differs from American, which might possibly imply that it is strange, the author simply shows what it is and how it's used. As an amateur ethno-cuisinologist myself, I appreciate the unbiased information provided. Many good recipes and insights that extend far beyond the sushi bar and Benihana communal habachi fare.
