chipsandsalsa rated 11 days ago- When I say "I'm a Christian", it's because I think it somehow makes me better than everyone else.

jawsjr rated 13 months ago- It's not great writing, but the sentiments are spot on.

Codebender rated 14 months ago- Shallow tripe. If you looking for this kind of thing done right, try Poetry of Contemplation: John Donne, George Herbert, Henry Vaughan, and the Modern Period . Of course, it's still false hope and misled ambition, but at least it's not crap.

MattKeegan rated 17 months ago- I can relate too! Why pretend that I am strong when I know that I am weak and He is strong? Sorry about those of you who think it is shallow; I wonder if nonbelievers see Christ in you?

oriistaken rated 22 months ago- * ** *** **** ***** When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect, my flaws are too visible but God believes I'm worth it. ***** **** *** ** *

JAAndar24 rated 25 months ago- This poem has a great message for what it truly means to be a Christian. It is important for people to understand what being a Christian is all about - the poem sums it up nicely.

pilpi rated 26 months ago- From the page: "When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I am saved" I'm whispering "I get lost!" "That is why I chose this way." When I say..."I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need someone to be my guide. When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and pray for strength to carry on. When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and cannot ever pay the debt. When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect, my flaws are too visible but God believes I'm worth it. When I say..."I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain I have my share of heartaches which is why I seek His name. When I say..."I am a Christian" I do not wish to judge. I have no authority. I only know I'm loved. -Author Carol Wimmer - Copyright 1988"
