Interesting review of Tolkien's Return of the King in light of Jackson's movie version.

From the page: "Many of the wonderful moments in that film â€" the lighting of the beacons, Faramirâ€s charge on Osgiliath, the catapult battle, Pippin and Gandalfâ€s discussion about the afterlife â€" are scenes that Jackson either invented or wildly embellished. (Unfortunately, PJ also invented Sam and Frodoâ€s falling out over some missing lembas wafers. Ugh.)" I agree. I fail to understand the bringing forward of the rift between Frodo and Sam, as nothing like that happened in the book: Sam was faithful to the end, and Frodo never lost faith in him.
