- So lets see. You used it once a day for a year. A plastic part was in daily contact with near boiling water. You don't tell us HOW it snapped, so chances are you broke it when you washed it. They wont replace an item that isn't covered by the warranty. Oh, and you added your own site to SU.

- I've had their stuff break on me too. My ol Krups espresso maker is goin strong. Hopefully they are shamed into selling spare parts, but I doubt it.

- i have a lot of bodum stuff (french press, teapot, etc.) and its all been working perfectly for years.
