These stories remind me of one I once heard about a woman who tried to prune a palm tree by setting it on fire. I'm not saying who it was, but I will say this same woman has an interesting recipe for squab flambe. Meanwhile, I thought it would be helpful to pass along news that a live eel is... more

Sometimes the herd needs to be thinned by natural selection, other times it needs to be culled. If you think I am a degenerate because I can laugh at stupidity, perhaps I will see someone make a purposful stride in traffic, and I will think, "Ahhh, Darwin!".

Peoples' eagerness to trivialize and lampoon the deaths of real human beings is sickening. Besides, the Darwin awards only tell half the story of artificial selection; I'm going to make a site that satirizes the deaths of all humans. The 228 people that died in the Airbus Flight 447 crash? They'll get Darwin awards, as they're unable to propagate their genes. The thousands of people that die in daily car accidents, infanticide, fires, murders, etc.? Yep. Their genes have been removed just as effectively as anyone on "The Darwin Awards," and thus they deserve their own awards. If you're going to argue that you know what's best for humanity by trivializing the deaths' of people you've never met, then I suggest you resume growing up; you obviously stopped in middle school.

A personal favorite. How can you not like a site with a tag line like, "Honoring those who improve the species...by accidentally removing themselves from it! "

I know it is wrong to laugh at the misfortune of others. I have an uncanny feeling I will end up on this site if I do.
