Here's the text of the bill: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:S.787: for those who might be interested. The main issues of couirse, is the Feg gov telling Jane that she no longer has control of her property because a stream (of any size) flows through it. No development, farming etc., without jumping through major and expensive hurdles. Now, if the Gov wants to justly compensate Jane (and others) for this taking of their property then I suppose it's legal, if not ok, but who believe this Gov will do that?

Not intending to be facetious or anything, but.....I built my house on a high water table which means that I'm dependent on tile drainage to keep my basement dry. If my sump pump should go out while the table is still high, my basement will quickly fill up with water. If that happens then then according to this bill, my basement would become the property of the federal government. I don't think I like that...unless of course they're the ones that are going to clean it up.

†.*.´¨´-.¸¸.-´¨´-.¸)US BE ONE(¸.-´¨´-.¸¸.-´´¨.*.† The Pillaging of our Land: Senate, Water Bill 787: Take Action NOW! Posted May 9th, 2009 by betty As we all know, our representatives have been very busy trying to promote draconian, fascist and unAmerican bills, faster than we can say "Jack Be Nimble". There are so many, so prioritizing is important and this week, I think the bill that deserves the "Adolf Award" goes to Russ Feingold who sponsored Senate Bill 787, the Water Bill, that could be translated into, we want all your water and your land is next! My, they don't seem to have any shame! So, I called the Environmental Works Committee and they gave their number and they asked that people call so that they can tabulate the "NO" votes on this bill. Here is the number: The Environmental Works Committee at: 202-224-6176 They want your calls, please call ASAP! They, themselves, do not want this dastardly bill, so it is time for us to act! Take five minutes out and call this number, leave a message if you must, but just SAY NO! So that we can keep our puddles, rivers, streams, ponds, and lakes as they were meant, as private property! The video explains what this bill entails and what it means to YOU! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqHaUadsapc Please call this number and send it around to your friends and family. -.¸)US-BE-ONE(¸.-¨´)†(Amen)†(¨´-.¸)ONE-BE-US(¸.-

From the page: "As we all know, our representatives have been very busy trying to promote draconian, fascist and unAmerican bills, faster than we can say "Jack Be Nimble". There are so many, so prioritizing is important and this week, I think the bill that deserves the "Adolf Award" goes to Russ Feingold who sponsored Senate Bill 787, the Water Bill, that could be translated into, we want all your water and your land is next!" My thoughts: Please call and say NO!
