"A father-of-three who was found with a microscopic speck of cannabis stuck to the bottom of one of his shoes has been sentenced to four years in a Dubai prison.
Keith Brown, a council youth development officer, was travelling through the United Arab Emirates on his way back to England when he was stopped as he walked through Dubai's main airport.
A search by customs officials uncovered a speck of cannabis weighing just 0.003g - so small it would be invisible to the naked eye and weighing less than a grain of sugar - on the tread of one of his shoes. "

But yet they don't even charge people for gangrape. The Middle Eastern states have the worse justice systems ever. Yes, even worse than the ex-soviet states or China.

I figured it was only right to find some real news about Dubai, I know its a very strict country...this is what I found. Thanks to: nikkimcraezy Jailed: Keith Brown had a speck of cannabis on his shoe A father-of-three who was found with a microscopic speck of cannabis stuck to the bottom of one of his shoes has been sentenced to four years in a Dubai prison. Dubai International Airport is a major hub for the Middle East and thousands of Britons pass through it every year to holiday in the glamorous beach and shopping haven. But many of those tourists and business travellers are likely to be unaware of the strict zero-tolerance drugs policy in the UAE. One man has even been jailed for possession of three poppy seeds left over from a bread roll he ate at Heathrow Airport. Painkiller codeine is also banned. If suspicious of a traveller, customs officials can use high-tech equipment to uncover even the slightest trace of drugs. For the rest of the story please use the photo link of Keith Brown.

This man was an extremely dangerous threat. I mean come on people! He had a speck of a plant on the bottom of his foot. Imagine the consequences of that not being discovered.

All kinds of microscopic substances blow in the wind around the planet and stick to peoples clothes. Some of those invisible substances might be pollutants from the hydrocarbon industry or the nuclear industry or illegal drug industry. The minute, microscopic particles of illegal drugs authorities contend they are finding at Dubai airport don't amount to enough substance to impair a Fruit Fly.

From the page: "A father-of-three who was found with a microscopic speck of cannabis stuck to the bottom of one of his shoes has been sentenced to four years in a Dubai prison. // A search by customs officials uncovered a speck of cannabis weighing just 0.003g - so small it would be invisible to the naked eye and weighing less than a grain of sugar - on the tread of one of his shoes. // "For that sort of amount common sense should prevail, from where it was found it was obviously something that had been crushed on the floor - it could have come from anywhere." // "Customs authorities are using highly sensitive new equipment to conduct extremely thorough searches on travellers and if they find any amount - no matter how minute - it will be enough to attract a mandatory four-year prison sentence." Mrs Wolthuizen added: "We even have reports of the imprisonment of a Swiss man for 'possession' of three poppy seeds on his clothing after he ate a bread roll at Heathrow." ... this is the problem with zero-tolerance policies.

This is what happens when common sense is forgotten. Unbelievable stuff.

This is not surprising coming from the arabs. Their lack of common sense is not new. They take any opportunity, no matter how ridiculous, to terrorize people from the West. Not long ago we heard about the case of the British teacher vs Sudan's stupidity. I personally can't wait for the development and implementation of new, green fuel alternatives so finally the West can cut all business relationships with ALL arab countries. It is obvious they don't want us there, not even as tourists. We should make that feeling mutual.

This is ridiculous. Worrying about something so minuscule when there are much larger drug issues to worry about. Whatever.
