You people dont seem to understand what exactly is happening here. Everything will change about us, we will be smarter, stronger, live longer. Our entire idea of thinking will change. We will start to move away from groups like White, African, Spanish, and will start to think of ourselves as a planet not separate people on a planet

Sounds great, but Hawkins is just trying to break ground before he dies/finishes transforming into a vegetable.I guess this would solve the issue of letting just about anyone have kids, including people with genetic defects. I'm happy to say I'll be removing myself from the gene pool. I hate kids anyway and I'd rather adopt a lonely teenager.

That's what I thought - our progress is many times faster than evolution, and soon we'll be able to evolve by changing our own DNA.
