Seriously one of the most enjoyable blogs on the web. I love reading the stories and watching Charlie grow and interact with his family. Nature, animal, and environment lovers need to check this one out.

I love Charlie and getting my weekly photographic update. But I am always nervous when I get an additional note, worried that the news will be bad. In a recent newsletter, the news is that Charlie is being kept inside from dawn to dusk because the coyote hunt is on: The coyote hunt is a sponsored annual even where teams of 1-4 pay for entry and have from 5am to 6pm to kill as many coyotes as they can. The team with the most dead coyotes gets 60% of the pot and the remaining 40% is divided as a bounty for every dead coyote brought in. From 5am to daylight, a technique called spotlighting is used: sweeping a bright light across the landscape in which to shoot by.

Charlie is growing up and turning into such a handsome guy, isn't he? I had totally forgotten about "The Daily Coyote" until he asked me if I'd visited lately. I am so glad that I was reminded of this story, so much so that I signed up for the mailing list. Now I will get updated photos of Charlie on a regular basis.
