Age-zero rated 2 months ago- Effectively emulates linux on windows. Worked with magic layout and irsim, but once you go too far, you're better off doing a dual-boot.

RenanBirck rated 4 months ago- is nice for anybody which is used to Linux but needs to admin Windows servers.

ar0cketman rated 5 months ago- There are an increasing number of ways to run Linux programs on Windows. CygWin is probably the most well known, having been developed for years.

- From the page: "Cygwin is a Linux-like environment for Windows." Windows has a user interface because they want to get away from a linux-like environment. What a load of shit, people want to use interfaces, anyone who doesn't probably already uses linux and therefore doesn't need this.

eddiea23 rated 11 months ago- Cygwin is about the only thing that keeps me sane when using Windows. If you only need a few tools and not a complete environment, check out the gnuwin32 collection.

askjosh rated 11 months ago- A way to run a 'nix like shell from windows desktop. Power to the user!

KiteGeek rated 14 months ago- A linux based intro all from Windows. :)

btocher rated 16 months ago- A Unix-like shell environment which runs on Windows.
