I've been thinking alot about how to envision the Internet in a 2D or 3D space. I do some work in spatial economics, like examining how distance affects property prices. I've been trying to think of how to create an analogous measure for proximity on the net. How "far" is one site from another?
This website has a series of artistic representations of the net that are quite inspiring.
A lot of this is quite fantastic; interesting though how much of it is simply inadequate when compared to the rendering of 'actual information' found on other pages.
