- The joke: Games today have awesome visuals compared to the games of yesteryear, but have god awful game play mechanics (what you have to do to achieve the goal.) Example: The Final Fantasy series has always pushed the bounds of graphics for RPGs, but their fighting system until recently was just a rehash of the same system they had used for all their previous games.
