plsburydoughboy rated 10 months ago- There's been a Chthulhu movie before (which apparently some Wikifucker removed from the Wikipedia), but this is a newer, leaner movie, and instead of interpreting a classic Lovecraft story, brings Chthulhu into modern times, the future Lovecraft had predicted in his stories, that has come true now. So I guess this is called a dyschronia? (the word has different medical connotations)
Can't wait to see this.

ABOUT THE FILM
Cthulhu is loosely based on the works of Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1890-1937), in which we are introduced to the Cthulhu mythos, an elaborate cosmology of incomprehensibly alien gods able to move between dimensions whose existence dwarfs and will soon destroy humankind, The Cthulhu itself, whose name is only an approximation of inhuman speech, has lain asleep on the ocean floor since the dawn of time and is being summoned by human and half-human followers to rise and claim the world. Like many others, we believe this agenda is being pursued by those who live among us innocuously, but whose actions promote sprawl, pollution, climate change and war.
We're also into the gay stuff, so there's some of that as well."

- Noticed that under "Background" to the movie, they listed: "We're also into the gay stuff, so there's some of that as well."
HI-larious! Contains two things that the Uptight Right is quite scared of, ancient evils from outside both space and time, bent on devouring the entire planet, and...wait for it, popular writers like H.P. Lovecraft who's work deals with un-Christian themes. Ha, just kidding fellas. Not sure what is meant exactly by "gay stuff", but it's sure to make some folks squirm. I'm a big fan of H.P.'s writing, and though I'm straight, I'm not afraid of gayness. So it'd be interesting to see this flick to see how it plays out.
dyankee23 rated 31 months ago- I haven't seen anything yet that doesn't scream "direct to video" here, but it might make for good cheesy fun on a Saturday night.
