Bush hugged an Easter bunny at the start of the annual Easter Egg Roll held on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, DC. The event featured an egg hunt, children dyeing their own Easter eggs, and appearances by characters from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sesame Street, and performers from the Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus. The American Egg Board provided an estimated 7,500 eggs for the egg roll, 3,200 dyed eggs for the egg hunt, and 4,500 hard-boiled eggs for dyeing.
