Very awesome stuff about the brain waves during meditation and how to induce meditative states, and the science behind it.

I believe that the electrochemistry of brain can be manipulated to do wonderful things. I've actually experimented using various harmonics, to induce the states mentioned, during meditation. All I can say is that if you're going to mess around with the natural order of your higher brain functions that you shouldn't expect it to go without any side effects! The theory is sound however :) and this is a good site to visit if you're interested in meditation.

These lines look a lot like those pics we see of spiders on drugs, but in fact they show the brain waves in different states of consciousness. The page has reports of several scientific studies showing brain changes in meditation which all seem to be good. Well worth a look. : : : thanks to the gorgeous mizz gracious for the link to the pic The caption at the Yahoo site might suggest that this is a celebratory image, but to me it looks incredibly sad - a lonesome dog on a leash, wearing military khakis, without his human companion, looking baleful in front of a giant confection of stars and stripes. It takes the cake. As does Bu$hCorp.
