The first thing I thought is that this person thinks exactly like I do, but I learned all those things without doing a technological detox. ¯\(ºдಠ)/¯

Surprisingly insightful and non-trite observations from someone who seems to spend a lot of time with computers taking a weeklong break from the cyber realm. I don't know why it's surprising that there's insight here, but it just is. Maybe because the writer could have been super-me-focused-narcissistic about the whole thing and wasn't. Click on through if you think there's something to learn from taking a week offline.

A great article on technological dependency and a personal battle with AdBuster's "mental detox". It basically involves killing your tv and any screen/monitor related activities for a week. I had to do this once for a media course in college. Pretty painful, but an insightful experience.
