From the page: "An Australian report, detailed this week in the journal Environmental Science and Technology argues that the availability of high-grade uranium ore will deplete over time making the fuel more environmentally and economically expensive to extract."

From page: "SYDNEY: The case for nuclear power as a sustainable alternative energy source is challenged by new evidence that greenhouse gas emissions from uranium mining are increasing."

One of the commenters on the page calculated the amount of carbon per kwh of electricity produced and it was around .2-1.2g per kwh for nuclear as compared to several hundred g per kwh for coal. The Nuclear still seems to be a better alternative.

@strokingdeaded: I am sure you researched this fully before making a stupid and ill-conceived acceptance of whatever this article tells you. I mean, it IS reasonable to simply accept what everyone tells you and make people prove you wrong, rather than proving yourself correct, right?

More liberal bullshit. Oh, and don't forget that it takes more energy to get oil out of the ground than it provides also. So to get that uranium you have to kill 1.2 trillion baby seals, disenfranchise 50 billion blacks, and give a white man a raise!!!!!!
