sillydog2112 rated 9 months ago- Yes, plastic can kill you -- slowly and horribly. I'm in the long process of detoxifying my home. that I'm a terrible pack rat doesn't help the situation at all. However, some plastics are safer than others. Generally, hard plastics are better than soft ones, with the exception of polycarbonates (a major component of a great many greenhouses and water filters) and of course, PVC, as in your drain pipes. Yes, you should be freaked out. I would also recommend the book, "The 100 year Lie."
