Geek Squad Expose.

a crappy, oversentemental expression of things that I could have told you, despite my lack of experiance with the geek squad. People who leave porn on their computers will have it copied if they hand it over to the wrong tech and leave them alone. I may have given it a thumbs-up if it wasn't so sentimental and actually rather stupid. Too bad =|

Common sense says any company that gets access to your computer does this. Not everyone, of course, but assuming that 100% of all of the thousands of techies are saints is just not realistic. This is just the first time they're caught.

I'm not surprised technicians do this - it's like trying not to read someone's diary when there is no chance of getting caught. And to the reviewer who just says "Learn to fix your own box" - that is completely ridiculous. Everyone doesn't have time to learn all that, just like we don't all learn to fix our cars, electrical systems, etc. That's what specialization is all about.

I don't understand why people spend money for certain things at geek squad, like the anti virus and anti spy ware stuff for your new computer when all they are paying for is the agent to sit there and click "next" on the installation wizard.

From the page: "Are you aware that you can locate every image and movie located on your hard drive by just using the windows search function?" Not only is he a condescending piece of shit, but he's long-winded, a crappy writer, and a corporate tool. Way to go you big success!

Too damn long. The guy might be a good tech, but he needs to hone his writing skills and get to the damn point. This is a rambling, repetitive rant that needs major editing to be worth reading. On the other hand, I've never used and have no intention of ever using Geek Squad, so it's no big deal to me.

The moral of the story: Don't trust anyone else to erase your computer's HD when you're done with it. Use a disk wiping utility and run it at least three times.
