- A.A. is not the only solution for alcoholism. The Big Book of A.A. doesn't even claim this monopoly. A pretty bold statement not supported by anything but this author's opinion. If it worked [works] for him, great. But to claim it as the ONLY solution is ignorant.
In fact, if his A.A. recovery was anything within the realm of being Big Book based [A.A.], 12 Steps and 12 Traditions related, he could never make this claim. Ergo, you see what happens when humility goes out the window? Ego. Ego. Ego. Precisely why the alcoholic picks up and drinks again. - A.A. is not the only solution for alcoholism. The Big Book of A.A. doesn't even claim this monopoly. A pretty bold statement not supported by anything but this author's opinion. If it worked [works] for him, great.
