Nopanacea discovered 3 months ago- An energy metering power strip. Interesting idea for raising awareness. Many studies show that people will lower their electrical energy consumption if they are made more aware of it. But this seems like a lot of embedded energy for just one power strip. Plus does it have a phantom load? I like this idea, but more so I like the idea of one power/energy meter for an entire house, with one read out location filled with interesting usage data and graphs.
