mizzack rated 7 months ago- Sorry, but 10krpm drives are pointless unless striped. Set them up in RAID-0, then have a large data drive for storage (with or without redundancy.) Sure, you can make the argument that it's bad to stripe a boot disk, but if that presents a problem then you aren't backing up effectively.

- I strongly agree with the 10,000rpm boot drive, but why is this dude saying he doesnt suggest building your own pc..

origin415 rated 8 months ago- Sure thing, Money Bags McGlee.

Stettin rated 8 months ago- I have a 10K RPM Raptor X, and am very happy with it. When loading multiplayer games I'm just about always the first to finish loading.

Broodjeaap rated 8 months ago- 2x500Gb in raid0 is faster and cheaper.

tehgeek rated 8 months ago- Wait for solid state drives. He is also referencing AnandTech, which I have found to be flat-out wrong on important issues like RAID.

Annath32 rated 8 months ago- bird603568: Tell me how I can get a 500GB 10k RPM drive for the same price as a 7200 RPM of the same size and I'll do just that.

bird603568 rated 8 months ago- stupid, you would want your drive with the games to have the faster drive.
