He is right. But then he goes on to say the status quo is not acceptable. By spending more money and going into more debt he and the president are just supporting and defending the status quo. Great job guys.

The idea of staying out of bankruptcy by just printing more money is absolutely ridiculous. Americans can't do that with their own finances, so the government shouldn't even try. The ultimate consequences grow worse with every passing day. Not clear if anyone else at the AARP meeting said anything sensible in reply, but if they didn't, I am sorely disappointed. Also, based on the nonsense that has come out of both Biden and Obama, I feel we have grounds to disqualify both of them from holding the office of President. Their statements suggest irrationality.

From the page: ""We're going to go bankrupt as a nation," Biden said. "Now, people when I say that look at me and say, `What are you talking about, Joe? You're telling me we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt?'" Biden said. "The answer is yes, that's what I'm telling you.""

I think Biden is going a little too far here if he wants to fool the people. Even the senial, old AARP Koolaid drinkers are gonna know Biden is full of it when he says something like this. I keep forgetting, it was Sarah Palin who was the stupid one right?
