For a guy that was raised middle class, and has worked hard to become middle class as an adult, this subject strikes a chord directly down my vertabrae. I depend on manufacturing as a way to eat, and the way our "leaders" are enacting their gloalization initiative I may very well be hungry soon. Don't get me wrong, I'm a pretty flexible guy. I figure if someone else is doing it , I can compete in the job market with minimal training, but I can't do it for $65.00 a week.
Remember when Dubya wanted to pronounce "making burgers" a manufacturing job? That's one example of what my point is. There is a deliberate and systematic plan to eliminate the middle class in America and there can be no democracy w/out at least a semblance of a middle class. I would even go so far as to say that the strength of the people is directly proportional to the size of it's middle class citizens. I hope you read this article. I hope it moves you. I hope it's not to late to save men and women who, like their parents and their grandparents, have made this country what it is today: an emerging oligarchy.
If you are interested in this article and others like it, try googling "death of the middle class". I hate to just rant w/out offering up any solutions, but I figure the best weapon in our arsenal is spreading the word. Thanx. B-mon
