sirindamae discovered 4 months ago- "Oh excuse me, I misspoke." What the #@%*! A lie is a lie is a lie. Is there such a thing as an honest politician, or is that an oxymoron? Kind of like legal ethics, oh yeah, many of the candidates are lawyers. No wonder I decided against going to law school! Actually, I know there are some great attorneys out there, unfortunately we mostly hear about the not-so-good ones. We tend to hold politicians up to a higher standard, but we are after all, imperfect humans.

LeonardoDaVinci rated 2 months ago- I said I "would" wash the dishes! Which would seem to indicate an extenuating circumstance exists/existed, spoken or not. What I really meant was, I "would" wash the dishes, if only I could get off of this couch, which, apparently, I have not. So, in essence, I didn't "misspeak" or "lie" per se, but merely, did not complete my sentence! But I did subliminally indicate said extenuating circumstance, which I eventually failed to meet, since I am apparently still sitting here!

marci11 rated 4 months ago- Misspoke? Is this even a word in the English vocabulary?!

asorensen rated 4 months ago- A lie is a lie. Truth is things as they were, as they are and as they will be. Speaking of things any differently, knowingly, is a called lying.
