- @meta4r, you are right on, brother! I raised and lowered the flag everyday at my elementary school and I'm just appalled at all the one's that are left out overnight, in rain, snow, whatever. And those god awful 100 ft. monstrosities. If the flag is being used at a public or private estate, it should not be hung (unless at half mast) during rain or violent weather. The flag should never be used for any advertising purpose. It should not be embroidered, printed, or otherwise impressed on such articles as cushions, handkerchiefs, napkins, boxes, or anything intended to be discarded after temporary use. Advertising signs should not be attached to the staff or halyard. Having said all that, I believe flag burning should be protected by the first amendment.

Thanatossassin rated 13 months ago- this story contrast heavily with this.

meta4r rated 13 months ago- Perhaps it's time to report all the "patriots" who leave their flags out overnight, ragged, and in inclement weather.

JDMF rated 13 months ago- Outrageous...fascist cop attacks hippy couple over "flag desecration"...check it out, they have a Ron Paul yard sign.
