- in firefox, just go to about:config and add the string general.useragent.override, and put your desired user agent string in. Don't know it? Look it up, there's millions of collected user agent string published for the public.

- While IETab is another option, you won't be able to use Firefox's other extensions inside the IETab Tab.. So, this is a simpler & faster way to do it. But most of the time, just swithching the user agent doesn't work.

- While I can't speak for this extension in particular, I do have one that allows me to open pages in IE and it's very useful since many websites aren't compatible with Firefox.
