This particular episode features a segment on biomass which for myself was very educational. The fact of the matter is that corn based ethanol is hardly cost effective and we'll probably see more gains and efficiency from using various prairie grasses which can give us fuel AND convert CO2 into carbon for the soil. Corn and Soy based ethanol production actually removes about 2/3 of the carbon from the soil and puts it back into the atmosphere!

Cool. FOSSILS. From this site. For many scientists summer is time for the real work to get done. For Dr. Hans Larsson, Canada Research Chair in Vertebrate Paleontology at the Redpath Museum at McGill University, it's a time to go fossil hunting in the Canadian Arctic. This summer Dr. Larsson and his crew of graduate students scoured remote Melville Island. They were harassed by terrible weather and stalked by polar bears, but found the remains of three interesting marine reptiles dating back 120-million years.
