Each new painting was a performance that the artist rehearsed for by practicing the performance of earlier painters. Contemporary artist Caroline Young took that wisdom to heart. Her delicate watercolors on silk pay homage to classical Chinese technique called the "delicate style," and the lessons she learned from her mentor, Lam Oi Char. Each is a virtuoso celebration. - Lovely prints here, and I'm a sucker for "zodiac" representations. Young has a series of male and female works for each "sign" in Chinese astrology. I have the good fortune to represented by a creature I find almost as wonderful as a cat. :)

- I really love Japanese prints, and there is a wonderful selection here. 'Kwan Yin' 'Hidden Treasure : Year of the Rat - boy' 'Beauty of the Ages' 'Brilliance and Mercy' (What a great title!)
