My mum lives near a beach in a place called Benllech, in Wales, UK. Every year going back for as far as I can remember, there has been a group of Christians, calling themselves the Beach Club or something equally friendly, that organise children's games and the like. I thought it was harmless enough and would have been happy for my own children to join in the fun. Until I read their latest newsletter; this stated something along the lines of many scientists have been giving up the long accepted theory of evolution after evidence arose blah blah blah. At that moment, they changed from an innocent group helping spread a benign message to a bunch of moronic brainwashers pedalling nonsense. The whole creationist issue is doing no favours for Christianity and isn't even a big issue when compared to many other issues.

Sometimes I wonder about things. And yes, I'm aware that science and religion need not be enemies. Problem is, too many people actually believe that one is the enemy of the other; and I'd rather worry about scientists than creationists (scientists can be proven wrong, and things can be improved because of it).

I'm thinking about printing a copy of this site so that next time the Jehovah's Witnesses come to my door I will be able to give them some literature in exchange for the silly tracts they always hand out.
