Again, Randianism is "okay," but theories need be updated for us "middle of the roaders," the case Objectivism makes is that almost everything can be divvied up into "black" and "white," or "good or evil," and this just simply isn't so, but again a good place to start for the business-minded with a critical eye.

Obama's "economic stimulus" plan will further damage the economy and result in inflation in the long run. The only "economic stimulus" is economic freedom -- freedom from central planning.

While I have always counted Capitalism as a necessary part of American economics, the variety of extreme market resolve by "voting with wallets" suggested by this publication does only to empower a minority and keep the masses of common people oppressed by individuals blurring the distinctions between greed and success. If we're too afraid of looking for the partitions, we've already forfeited democracy.

I used to think it was the memes that make the person, and so I attacked libertarian fuck-you capitalism as a meme. I didn't get very far before realizing that it's not the meme that makes us the way we are, but the way we are that selects that meme. So it's not that libertarian corporate apologists are nasty because they've been infected with some rotten meme, but because they are rotten, and found the meme(s) that most suited their disposition. Sure, the flowery language of freedom and rights and individualism is all very compelling, but in the end their "might makes right" attitude, coupled with their bizarre ability to believe that the free market both exists (that's why western countries are so rich!) and doesn't (the gummint is regulatin' too much), grants them the amazing power to be cheerleaders for corporate abuse and state-creation without ever having to come to terms with the reality of the situation. The saddest, saddest thing of all, though, is that libertarians are entirely capable of thinking just a *little* harder to break free of the hypocrisy.
