Wow! Awesome film showing how a model is "made" and then edited to get on beauty billboards and such. Watch.

While I've seen this before, more people need to see it.

Old... but still a really nice film talking about how our view of beauty is distorted, the effects of the media (and photoshop!) on society, etc etc... you know.

I've seen this clip before, but it's effect is powerful. I commend Dove for their real beauty campaign.

I agree! The Fashion Industry should be ashamed of themselves.

Dove's campaign for real beauty. For once, a billion-dollar corporation not trying to fool us into buying their products, and actually cares about the mental and emotional well-being of their customers. This is why I eat Dove bars. (kidding)

And we wonder why so many women have self-image problems...

If you haven't seen, go see. Now. We are saturated with an estimated 2000+ professionally generated images per day. It's obvious that the images don't look like the real people who surround you. This short film shows WHY thy don't look like you. I really support Dove's campaign for 'real beauty' in advertising. Are they getting a marketing lift from it? Yes, but it will benefit the self-esteem of millions of women in the process...it's a real win-win.
