I don't know if would still work, but one guy was taking the return envelopes from his junk mail and cutting out the front bit with the address and postage paid part. He was then applying that to box with a brick in it. He would then drop that into a post box. He reckons that the junk mail people end up paying the postage on the weight of a brick and not a letter. I don't know if that works, but it's a warm and fuzzy mental image to imagine that brinks are turning up in various junk mail senders...
