- Hot Apple Pie Shot In a pyrex measuring cup pour 3/4 cup of apple cider. Heat in the microwave till nice and steamy hot. Stir in 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract, one pinch of cinnamon, and 1/4 cup of rum. Pour into a shot class 3/4 of the way full. Top with sweetened whipped cream and dust with cinnamon. Serve immediately. Makes 5-6 shots.
