- This is a photoblog of the effects of I.V. drug use, HIV and poverty in the Ukraine. Some of the pictures are very graphic and probably disturbing to some. Shooting up homemade dope into an open sore is never very pretty. The journalist, Brent Stirton had a rare opportunity to look into the private world of some truly wretched people. The need for life-saving drugs for AIDS as well the extreme need for education about what AIDS is and does is desperate. Stirton talks in detail about who is in the pictures, click on words at the bottom of the picture. Powerful stuff.
