Click the image above for a very interesting simulation of the CO2 emissions of the world's countries, as well as their birth and death rates. It's a nice interface - just hover the mouse over a country to see its environmental data. If you run the simulation, it is worth reading... more

We have to control the Co2 emission.

It would be nice to give those countries that actually do lower their CO emissions some sort of a reward. Like the BIG20 that continue to increase their emission pay an environmental fee to the TOP20 countries that managed to lower their emissions.

The Breathing Earth simulation Welcome to Breathing Earth. This real-time simulation displays the CO2 emissions of every country in the world, as well as their birth and death rates. Please remember that this real time simulation is just that: a simulation. Although the CO2 emission, birth rate and death rate data used in Breathing Earth comes from reputable sources, data that measures things on such a massive scale can never be 100% accurate. Please note however that the CO2 emission levels shown here are much more likely to be too low than they are to be too high. Very moving presentation of our world.

Bit scary that! Looks like the birthrate far exceeds the death rate. I mean, at what point will the planet earth no longer be able to sustain the human race?

Canada's excuse is that it's so cold here, we have to use up a lot of energy to make it livable in the winter. But it's still appalling.
