People really shouldn't feel pressured into reading the same old canon literary books that other people do. Sure, these have been critically acclaimed, but ultimately, the worth of the book is up to you. If you like the sound of a book, read it. Don't read it just because people say you ought to. That takes all the enjoyment out of reading.
