MandoV discovered 27 months ago- Consciousness is not well understood or easy to define. Whatever it is, it is possible that it is not "a single thing", and it may not reside in any identifiable part of any system. It is even possible that consciousness has no explanation. It might just 'be'. To equate it with any QM phenomena is probably naive.
