Every year the festival employs a team of 1,200 volunteers - who work for four, six hour shifts for a festival ticket - to sort what can be up to 2,000 tons of rubbish generated during the festival. The recycling of all the cans, plates, cups, plastics and food waste left by the thousands of people started on Friday and lasts a week - but the complete clean-up of the festival site can take until August."That's cool. In Utah, we just throw everything in the landfill and wait for the Rapture in hopes that the Lord Jesus will do one of those Bewitched nose twitches and cleanse the world so we don't have to. No, I'm not joking. It's nice to see those smelly hippies doing their part.
