impediment rated 4 weeks agoListen to the stand up base. Jazz is what it is.

mathewssj rated 6 months ago- I don't know about all that meditation stuff, but Bob Cunningham can most certainly play the bass brilliantly. I greatly enjoyed the song Manteca, with its references to Dizzy Gillespie.

Perko rated 9 months ago- This is my favorite piece of copy I've ever come across: from the page: "Samadhi, that high meditative state whereby the human spirit realizes it's total oneness with the Creator, is deemed the greatest ecstasy one can experience. Bassist Bob Cunningham appears to reach, or closely approach that ecstatic state as he blends himself in oneness with his Bass and with the rich, luminous sounds he skillfully coaxes from it. He clearly enjoys and relishes every stroke and sound of the instrument, and this thorough enjoyment of his polished musical craft inevitably translates into the collective enjoyment and soul movement of each audience Cunningham musically serves." lol. What I don't know is why the copywriter stopped embellishing. Why didn't they continue on in this fashion like, "Bob Cunningham's bass playing has also fought Indians alongside Kit Carson, discovered a source of cold fusion, made a quantum computer, created the AIDS vaccine and and done more to solve world hunger and peace than any other living person in the world." Still. Walkin' Bass. WHAT A GREAT SONG! Maybe the copywriter was on to something.

PanzerM3 rated 23 months ago- So Bob Cunningham reaches Samadhi, eh? Can't we just say that he is an extraordinary bass player? Kids, you don't have to meditate to become a great jazz musician.

TONYYB rated 24 months ago- I FEEL LIKE PUTTING ON A BERET, SITTING IN A DIMLY LIT ROOM AND CHAINSMOKING CIGARETTES WITH AN OPEN BOTTLE OF JACK IN FRONT OF ME. THAT'S HOW YOU KNOW THE JAZZ IS WORKING.

booforyou rated 25 months ago- Love it!
