- You can waste a lifetime playing with this tool. You can create some amazing renderings and animations, seemingly limited only by your time and patience. I'm no expert at 3D, but it seems like this thing does everything including the kitchen sink, and it's free. Tons of free tutorials out there, you could make a career out of watching them all.

- I used to not be a fan of the blender, and I still have issues with it, but I no longer see it as dramatically inferior to other packages.
