- Cute! But I have to admit to sharing my cat's trepidation about hummingbirds. She and I were sitting outside once, perhaps a little too close to the hummer feeder, and one of the little rascals zoomed down, scolded us, and then scalped my cat (all in the blink of an eye). Razor sharp beak left a 2 inch gash right between my cat's ears.
