TheWriteJerry discovered 11 months ago- We have become a country where justice now means that he who whines first and very loudly is made out as the hero, and the accused is surely guilty. Police arrest and detain on the word of one witness, family services serve only the upkeep of their own system, not the interests of children or families, and the media is delighted to make today's accused into tomorrow's villain of the week.

- Investigation takes time, costs money, and may require that an officer sacrifice personal time to appear in court. See the other side?

skyephoenix rated 9 months ago- From the page: "We have become a country where justice now means that he who whines first and very loudly is made out as the hero, and the accused is surely guilty. Police arrest and detain on the word of one witness,"

- Meh having been involved first hand I can say the accuser only reaps short term victory ....in the end they lose and they lose big

MInTheGap rated 9 months ago- This page makes a good point-- that he who speaks first carries a lot of weight. However, what's up with the ad with the two girls kissing-- I mean, is that really necessary?

Obso1337 rated 9 months ago- I've been thinking along these lines lately. Every time I see some horrible perversion of the justice system for entertainment like Nancy Grace I feel a general anger and disgust. However I hadn't really thought out exactly what it was that was so sickening about it. This isn't it exactly, but it comes pretty close. A compounding of a failure of the media and the conviction of those in the justice system, as well as ignorant bloodthirsty viewers in their living rooms who'd rather see someone pay than true justice wrought. As for reviewers who would blame this somehow on a "liberalism" in our Justice system, I urge you please read a book. I don't care what book, just anything. Either you will choose a good one (unlikely) and realize how little you understand about the world, or you will choose a horrid one, and the world will be better for lack of your input in the time it takes you to read it.

decembriel rated 10 months ago- From the page: "A mother and her teenage daughter have a hate-filled heated argument. The mother kicks the daughter out of the house. On her way out, the daughter threatens suicide. Calculated stab at guilt or real threat? It doesn't matter. The mother calls the police, the girl is remanded to 72-hours observation in a hospital psychiatric ward. No chance to explain herself, no advocate for her defense. Just an angry mother's word."

Tom-Ingram rated 10 months ago- A good article. Take a look at some of the other pages. It's a good blog.

- This is what happens when adopt a liberal system. In these cases, the "justice" system. Anything and everything is allowable.
